About

Thank you for reading my blog.  My goal is to have a simple site to provide an outlet for my writing, initiate thought and maybe add levity to what is often the harsh tone of popular dialogue.  Your comments are always welcome.

I used write a lot of poetry and KNOW what the poem is supposed to say,
but often find I have made some error.
I have printed off a copy and then let several different people red my writes
and ask them to mark errors.
I am no good at proofing my own writes.

I plan to read more of your work soon.

    Hi,
Just finished reading your book, Train to Anywhere. Great story and I didn’t want to put it down. I ran across a few errors in your work I wanted to bring to your attention. Page 270. you wrote: ( Eddie knew Charlie was much more dangerous “THEN” his demeanor would indicate.) I have noticed many people misuse the words THEN and THAN and this is something that just jumps out at me. I also found the same misuse on page 344 (As he was doing so, he noticed that Stan was much further behind in his payments “THEN” they had said.)

Another little miss was where you wrote (The Mayor’s face was as red as a stop sign.) I seriously doubt stop signs were red during this period, because as a child I recall octagon shaped stop signs, but they were Yellow with black lettering. Not many would pick up on that one, but the THEN/THAN thing really bothers me a lot. You have a college education and being that you are a talented writer I have a hard time understanding the misuses.
Just so ya know, I am a high school drop out at age 16, so don’t think I am some English teacher rattling your cage. Just bugs me to death when I see intelligent people with an awesome vocabulary and brilliant talents making this simple mistake, which obviously is not a typo.

Thanks for reading my book and I appreciate the comment. I can edit all day and still miss simple things. It’s part of the writing process, I guess. I went ahead and made the changes.
